Land Registry Rules, PDs & Notices now added.
Single-point access to 302 Land Registry sources, delivering end-to-end property law & data coverage for conveyancers, litigators and planners
Responding to your needs
From today, practitioners can benefit from the addition of Land Registry (Táilte Éireann) Rules, Practice Directions, and Legal Office Notices to the platform.
The expansion consolidates critical property law resources in one searchable interface, responding to practitioner demand for comprehensive Land Registry coverage alongside Vizlegal's existing resources.
Conveyancers, litigators, and planners who use Land Registry resources daily reported that the existing collection was disjointed, difficult to navigate and hard to follow. We took up the challenge.

What the Land Registry Functionality Delivers
The new Land Registry integration provides practitioners with:
- Single point of access to 302 Land Registry sources, fully searchable by keyword or phrase.
- Source traceability, enabling practitioners to trace any rule, practice direction, or notice directly back to its originating Táilte Éireann source, SI and the Law Reform’s administrative consolidation of the Land & Conveyancing Acts.
- Immediate alerts, notifying users of changes to Land Registry Rules, Practice Directions, and Notices as they occur — including a clear view of exactly what changed within any amendment.
- Contextual hyperlinking to relevant forms and legislation, supporting efficient day-to-day workflows.
- Cross-collection search & filter, allowing practitioners to search across multiple collections — including Courts Service rules — where interconnected legal issues arise, as well as within precise collections.
Managing Risk in a High-Stakes Environment
Gavin Sheridan, CEO of Vizlegal, commented on the significance of the addition:
"Feedback from solicitors and knowledge managers indicated that a Land Registry series, alongside our existing property-related resources, would further deliver on an end-to-end Vizlegal service.
The professional and reputational risk of being caught off guard on a rule change, or missing an opportunity for a client — particularly in the context of high property values, probate litigation, and emerging areas such as assisted decision-making — is one that Vizlegal is aiming to minimise.
We look forward to building on functionality and workflow possibilities in conjunction with our valued users.

A Comprehensive Property & Planning Platform
The Land Registry addition complements Vizlegal's existing suite of property and planning resources, which already enables practitioners to:
- Search, filter, and create alerts across all 31 Planning Authorities and 1.9 million planning applications.
- Examine over 96,000 An Coimisiún Pleanála (ACP) decisions.
- Trace directly from ACP decisions to Judicial Review proceedings and through to resulting judgments via the Timelines feature.
- Access Vizlegal's regular ACP Planning Intelligence Reports covering recent activity.
Together, these resources position Vizlegal as the definitive platform for property and planning law research in Ireland.
